Kourtney Kardashian Abused

Have you watched the reality shows starring Kourtney Kardashian and her family? Do you wonder if it’s a docudrama for abused women? Kourtney’s baby daddy Scott Disick exhibited seriously dangerous, violent behavior documented for all to see on TV. According to Page 6 of the New York Post, Kourtney, Scott and baby Mason are all together in NY this week - just one big happy family. Kourtney Kardashian has strategies to enlarge the family business. The reality show star was seen in the Meatpacking District last weekend scouting locations for a clothing branch of Dash, which already has boutiques in Miami and LA. Kardashian researched real estate on West 14th Street near the Apple store and Abe & Arthur's according to reports.

But wait, on a recently aired segment, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, reality show Scott Disick boyfriend and father to 8-month-old son Mason was shown in a drunken rage as he smashed his fist into a mirror, which then required a trip to the emergency room and surgery. We understand reality shows are edited for effect, but even the filming crew can be heard on camera saying, “He just cut his hand really bad!” Yes the session was filmed several months ago, but this is not the first time violent behavior by Scott appeared on TV.

Earilier this year a drunken Scott showed up uninvited to Kim's birthday dinner in Las Vegas. Scott's new boss, the head of GNC, was one of the guests at the birthday celebration. The show revealed Scott becoming more violent and nasty. Kris Kardashian asked a still pregnant Kourtney to do something about her boyfriend’s behavior. Kris then told the waiter to stop serving Scott alcoholic drinks. Scott became so enraged he proceeded to threaten the waiter and shoved a $100 bill in his mouth. The waiter showed great restraint during the physical assault.

During this whole incident Kourtney sat and watched. "I know that Scott is acting out of control, but what am I supposed to do about it? I totally thought he changed, but he is such a F*****g child."

Did Kourtney finally come to her senses in that episode? She decided that she was done with Scott. She even had the locks changed to their shared home. But as we can see by the news this week, even those two incidents did not get Kountney to kick Scott to the curb.

Are you abused? Your significant other expresses regret and says the spiteful behavior won't happen again — but you are not sure it won’t. Often you question whether you're dreamed up the abuse, yet the emotional or physical pain you feel is real. If this sounds reasonable, you may be experiencing domestic violence. Scott said he was sorry. That he was going to change. He was going to stop drinking. He also said that Kourtney knew the kind of guy he was when she decided to be with him (and got pregnant).

When watching a reality show, it’s always so easy to see other’s bad behavior. According to the Mayo Clinic, You may be experiencing domestic violence if you're in a relationship with a person who:

1. Tries to lower you self-esteem by calling you names, insulting you or puting you down
2. Physically prevents you from going to work or school
3. Restricts you from seeing family members or friends
4. Attempts to control how you spend money, where you go or what you wear
5. Shows jealous or possessive behavior or constantly accuses you of being unfaithful
6. Gets irate when drinking alcohol or using drugs
7. Terrorizes you with violence or a weapon
8. Hits, kicks, shoves, slaps, chokes or otherwise hurts you, your children or your pets
9. Forces you to have sex or engage in sexual acts against your will
10. Holds you responsible for his/her violent behavior or tells you that you deserve it

Although a number of relationships are clearly abusive from the beginning, abuse often starts cunningly and gets worse over time. Even rich, famous people can be abused, and ignore the signs. No matter how much the family wants to help, the abused person may not be ready. On several occasions Kourtney’s sister Khleo threatened Scott with bodily harm because of the way he treated her sister. Kim Kourtney’s other sister had to talk her into walking away after Scott trashed the condo.

Domestic violence is against the law, no matter what your legal status here is. The police are not supposed to turn you in to Citizenship and Immigration Services if you are calling to report domestic violence.
