LuAnn de Lesseps Rude Countess of The Housewives of New York

I realize that reality shows are edited but did the Countess see the same thing I saw in Morocco? I think not. It’s Saturday and I have a 100 channels on cable and nothing to watch! Alas Housewives of New York is on the boob tube.

I’m looking at the first episode when the ladies return from Morocco, and reading LuAnn de Lesseps June 16^th blog. As I read the blog, “When Alex invited me for coffee, I truly thought her intention was to apologize for her behavior at the riad. Instead, she berated me and called me delusional because I wouldn't tell her that it was OK that she freaked out on me for no reason. If she had calmed down and asked me to talk with her privately after the henna tattoos, she quickly would have realized I wanted to support Ramona.”

Sorry Countess, but Alex “stormed down the stairs” and asked to meet with you privately once you finished with the henna tattoo. You insisted that she speak her mind in front of the other women right there at that moment. It was a poor decision and Kelly and you threw Alex under the bus when she didn’t say what you wanted to hear. If you’d spoke to her later as she requested, she probably would have been calmer.

The “good manners” Countess behavior was extremely rude at the meeting with Alex in the coffee shop. LuAnn actually expected an apology from Alex. LuAnn had no intentions of listening to anything Alex had to say, except I’m sorry Countess, please let me continue to grace your presence. LuAnn could hardly sit still with impatience waiting for those words to flow out of Alex’s mouth.

LuAnn’s contention that she wanted to support Ramona sounds lame. Going back to the Morocco tapes, LuAnn was heard on several occasions defaming Ramona as being drunk and/or drunkard. How rude!! LuAnn is the same person that defiantly protects/defends/guards/safeguards Jill. Yet LuAnn takes offense when Alex does the same for Ramona, and last season Bethenny Frankel. It seems very rude for the Countess to have double standards. New York is not the serfdom for the Countess. Her claim to nobility, after all, has rested on her former marriage. Granted Alex’s timing is not always the best, but LuAnn is not unconditionally right. I’ll repeat again, this is a reality show and as such is edited for impact – LuAnn is edited to be vile, condescending, and rude. Perhaps that’s just who and what she is.

In a NY Times article, TV Royalty, but No Longer a Housewife, the vocational nurse from Connecticut, was quoted, “She knows a few things about breeding and tact, Mrs. de Lesseps said, “compared to the other girls” on the series.” LuAnn continued “The de Lesseps, she said pointedly, “don’t mingle with the other housewives.” How rude! Hmmmm watch your back Jill!
