Noah Ark

The year was 2211. Medical science had again extended human lifespan for hundreds of years. Like creation according to Genesis, God provided humans with quite a long life expectancy. It seemed the more time humans had on earth, the more they became either corruption or flawless.Humans corrupted society and the environment, while others worked hard to improve and preserve.Mankind is failing.The gradual reduction of man's life expectancy again was reducing both men’s capability and his liability – except one man named Noah.

Noah's Ark is a vessel appearing in the Book of Genesis and the Quran. These accounts describe the assembly of the Ark by Noah at God's command to save himself, his family, and the world's animals from the worldwide deluge of the Great Flood.

Like his Biblical namesake, Noah Ark that’s his name, had a predestined life that could not and would not be altered. His mother and father were advanced in age when he was born.Noah seemed to be a most usual baby.Looking at the infant, one would think he could get up, walk and talk. He was the youngest of three boys who were much older when he was born. They were old enough to have families of their own – heck they were old enough to be grandparents.

As a child, Noah was very interested in animal husbandry and agriculture. While most people in his generation were in labs trying to refabricate creation.Violence and extortion become commonplace. Some humans were willing to execute all kinds of iniquitous deeds for money and greed.In their arrogance they claimed the same aristocratic as the descendants of gods. They compared themselves with nobility. The depravity of this generation was in a degree due to the ultimate conditions under which humans lived.They did not have to work hard to cultivate food, and as a consequence of their extraordinary prosperity they grew insolent.Computer maintained hot houses and dome covered farms produced a harvest sufficient for the needs of forty years.

Noah and his family farmed thousands of acres of land as done in ancient times on a ranch named the Garden of Eden. Noah practiced a form of animal husbandry which had been practiced for thousands of years, since the first domestication of animals.The family tended their herds on horses, in four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles, boats and helicopters, depending on the terrain and livestock concerned. Herd managers often managed thousands of animals and many staff.The ranch employed breeders, herd health specialists, feeders, people to milk, and to help care for the animals.

Back in 2004, The Frozen Ark Project was just one of the tissue banks established to store genetic material from thousands of endangered animals set up in the United Kingdom. Scientists believed animals were disappearing from our planet at a very high rate. Noah was grateful to the scientists of the time. When a species is extinguished, it leaves a hole in the ecosystem. The last animal of its kind to die, takes with it a volumes of information. From some of these DNA banks for endangered animals Noah was able to obtain samples of sperm, ova, embryos, tissue samples, and serum.Noah used these samples to help introduce specimens to the ranch.Riding around the ranch people could enjoy animals, fish, insects and even crops long thought to be extinct.

The Garden of Eden is located at the junction and border of three rivers. As the ice caps continue to melt, the rivers overflow their banks every year leaving behind black fertilizing sediment. Noah’s father used the sediment for years to fertilize crops naturally. The crops were so abundant that the family was able to donate tons of food not fabricated by computers. Noah measured the annual flooding and the rivers were rising. More and more land was covered by water. Noah arranged crops to utilize the flood land like rice and cranberries.The flooding was still a concern and a bigger problem.According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration last year tied with the warmest on record. NOAA is tracking disasters like the floods in China, Japan, Brazil and Australia. One-third of civilization perishes during a massive flood. Humans are not humbled and the downslide continues. Rather than taking heed from the grim prophecy, society turns Noah and the DNA project into a laughing stock.

Noah seeks out the Native American elders.The elders of several tribes passed down stories for generations regarding evil villages being flooded and washed away.In ancient times, oral traditions of many Native American tribes describe the huge earthquakes, tsunami and floods destroying coastal villages. The old people said there was a shaking, hurdling up and trembling of the earth beneath, and a rolling up of the great waters.The elders spoke of a flooding rain and huge earthquake occurring in the middle of the night.Elders said they told the young that they must run for high ground when the earth trembled, and the rains came. Those who were mindfulness survived, although the flood waters followed close behind them.They spend a cold night in the mountains, surrounded by animals that have also fled the flood.In the morning they find that all traces of their village, and all neighboring coastal villages, have been completely washed away and no one else has survived. The elders said the flooding and earthquakes take place to rid the earth of wicked, malicious people and those engaged in activities against nature and the gods. The oral history confirmed this happened at least once every generation because the people did not heed the signs and warnings.

Noah and his family realize the rains are occurring more often in the non -rainy season and flooding has increased. Noah’s family had a long history and knowledge of world floods – back to the time BC. At some point the family surname actually became Ark. The story most familiar to his father is the biblical account of Noah and his ark. Genesis tells how “God saw that the wickedness of man was great” and decided to destroy all of creation.Noah’s father knew about the Native American flood account, as well as the other ark and flood myths.The elder Ark knew there was something big coming and mankind better get prepared.He sent Noah to research as many the versions of the flood as he could.

When Noah started his preliminary research, he found hundreds of Great Flood legends, myths and stories worldwide.Ancient civilizations in China, Babylonia/ Mesopotamia, Ireland, Russia, India, Americas, Pacific Islands, Scandinavia, Sumatra, and Africa all have their own versions of a Great Flood.The flood common elements included the warning of the coming flood, the construction of arks/boats in advance, the storing of animals, and the addition of family/friends.

The first stop was Ireland.Noah reviewed the Lebor Gabála, The Annals of the Four Masters (17th century), The Annals of Ulster, The Annals of Clonmacnoise, The Annals of Tigernach, and Chronicum Scotorum.The Lebor Gabála [Book of Invasions] seemed an attempt to mix Irish memory with Biblical history.In 2956 BC Cesair, the daughter of Bith, a son of Noah, and Birren, escapes to Inis Fáil (Ireland) just before the Flood.She was forced from her homeland in shame because she was denied admission to the Ark.Cesair aka Cessair, Ceasair, Cesara, Kesair was the leader or queen of the first invasion of Ireland with three men and fifty women 40 days before the Flood.She landed in Ireland at County Cork (Dún na mBarc) on Bantry Bay. The three men divide the women among them, hoping to populate Ireland. Much of the information was documented in John Carey, ‘Origin and Development of the Cesair Legend’, Éigse, 22 (1987), 37–48. When the flood came Cesair and her people sailed for seven years to avoid drowning when the oceans deluged Ireland.

Mythological Cycle was created to define those early stories that, in the absence of a Celtic cosmology, deal most with origins and the discernible remnants of pre-Christian religion.The invasion of history as told in the Lebor Gabála was thought to have begun with Cesair, before the biblical Flood, and continued with five waves of invaders.

The Epic of Gilgamesh is a Sumerian epic poem that dates back to the 3rd millennium B.C. and is the first piece of written literature in the world. The poem was written 1500 years before the Homeric sagas.It was hugely popular in ancient Mesopotamia over centuries.The awareness of the poem stretched to western Asia and probably to the Greek world. Investigation of the some similarities to Achilles in the Iliad and to Greek flood stories is warranted.The Epic was written in Sumerian, Akkadian, Hurrian, Hittite.All these languages were written in cuneiform script.

The Epic of Gilgamesh starts with Gilgamesh is an adult when the Epic begins.Found in the Nievah Library -- “Written down according to the original and collated in the palace of Assurbanipal, King of the World, King of Assyria” – the poem was the first clue to a Sumerian version of the Great Flood.The hero was King Zi-u-sudra (aka Noah, Uta-napishtim).The king embarked on a journey to find the secret of immortality. Among the few survivors of the Great Flood, Uta-napishtim (Noah) and his wife are the only humans to have been granted immortality by the gods.Along the way, he met Uta-napishtim, survivor of a great flood sent by the gods.Noah was counseled by Enki, the water god, Noah built a boat and saved his family and friends, along with handicrafts worker, animals, and precious metals. Uta-napishtim narrates the flood story in Tablet XI.

The Geek version of the Great Flood begins with Zeus punished humankind for their lack of respect by sending the deluge, Deucalion and his wife Pyrrha were the survivors.Deucalion is the son of Prometheus and Clymene.They were saved because of their piety.Prometheus warned his son to build an ark and they survived by staying on the boat with their children and a collection of animals.When the waters reduced Deucalion gave offerings to Zeus.In one version god's response was to send Hermes with a promise to make any wish come true.The other version says the oracle Themis told the couple to throw the bones of their mother behind their shoulder and the human race would reappear.In both versions they believed in Mother Earth so they threw stones.The stones thrown by Pyrrha became women; those thrown by Deucalion became men.

According to an article, Evidence of ancient city found in depths off Cuba written by Michael Posner and posted on Dec 13 2001, a team of Canadian and Cuban investigators have discovered the ruins of what may be a 6,000-year-old city underwater in deep ocean waters off the western coast of Cuba.Geologists have theorized that a land bridge once linked Cuba to Mexico's Yucatan peninsula. Areas of the Cuban island are believed to have been immersed in the sea on three distinct times in ancient time.Deep in the waters of Cabo de San Antonio, off Cuba's coast, scientists are discovering unfamiliar formations of smooth blocks, crests, and geometric shapes.

Noah traveled to sites of other sunken cities before arriving home.One site in which straddles 30,000 square meters of ocean floor off the southern Peloponnese, is believed to have been flooded by the sea around 1000 BC.Years ago underwater archaeologists revealed part of a community populated from at least the fourth century B.C. to the eighth century A.D. under the waters of Lake Paliostomi, on the central coast of the Republic of Georgia.It was a flourishing city at the Black Sea terminus of the ancient Silk Road.

The Cambay Ruins of India was found off the coast of India in the bay of Cambay.The vast city lies 120 feet below the ocean’s surface; it is 5 miles long and 3 miles wide.

Following the belief that the Great Flood destroyed evil cities and places, the 17th-century Caribbean town of Port Royal, Jamaica was known as "the wickedest city on Earth". A flood caused it to be swallowed up by the sea.The city's downfall came because it was built on sand plane, less than a meter above the water table. When an earthquake struck the area in June 1692, the vibrations caused the sand to liquefy. What was once a solid foundation was now water logged.500 BC, the ports of Herakleion and Eastern Canopus were flourishing trade centers, the accesses into Egypt for Greek ships passing down the Nile. Where the Nile delta meets the sea the two cities were located.Their remains lie buried beneath a shallow bay.

When the Japanese ruins were discovered off the coast of Yonaguni Jima, It was already 5,000 years old and is believed to have sunk 2,000 years ago after a massive earthquake.Japanese Pyramid, usually called the “Japanese Atlantis” was about 70 feet below the surface of the ocean.

One kilometer in the Mediterranean Sea, near Haifa, Israel, is an ancient village beneath the water.It well preserved by the sandy seabed that insects were found in the grain stores. Explorers discovered human remains undisturbed in their graves, and a mysterious stone circle still stands as it was first erected. The site is Atlit-Yam. The 40,000-square-meter site dates from around 7000 BC when discovered. The date would make it one of the original and major drowned settlements known.The village people lived in expansive stone houses, complete with paved floors, courtyards, fireplaces, storage facilities and wells.

Noah reported back to his father. None of the floods were world-wide, except for the limited world known to each culture/people. The flood accounts are local runoffs that unquestionably transpired in each land at different times.If Noah’s father accepts the idea that the Biblical flood did not cover the entire earth, we are not denying the Biblical account.Perhaps the Bible description meant a lot/great area.

Noah found that there were hundreds maybe thousands of Great Flood stories that had almost the same elements as listed in the Bible. The huge waters arrived after some warning or not.Human beings were saved in each account some with animals.The saved humans were in an ark/large boat and/or landed on a mountain or high ground.At no time was the human race completely destroyed or not capable of repopulating.

With the technology available today, Noah assured his father with preparation the family and friends could survive the flood.There were huge cruise ships, large yachts and sea planes.Since 2002, The World, a 700 foot yacht was recreated hundreds of times.People used the yachts as primary residences, actually living on the seas and circumnavigating the world. Military always had ships that traveled the world for months.Some vessels were airplane carriers.So unlike Noah sending birds out to seek land, if necessary planes would be sent.

Even with the threat of tsunamis, survival was assured. Tsunamis are ocean waves produced by earthquakes or underwater landslides.Tsunamis have devastating effects on low-lying coastal communities.In the open ocean, tsunamis would not be felt by ships because the wavelength would be hundreds of miles long, with amplitude of only a few feet.Ships, boats, yachts, oil tankers, military vessels and more would be unharmed in open water.

The rains began slowly. According to NOAA, a bizarrely moist air mass and a static front aligned which provided the components for a major rain storm and significant flooding over large areas of the world.Thunderstorms first moved in by early evening.This rain strengthened the stationary front over the areas, locking in the trigger for prolonged rain and thunderstorms.By the first morning, a band of 4 to 8 inches of rain had fallen with many reports of flooding. Rain continued the next day, and began to increase through the day.However, river heights soared upward with record or near record crests on many rivers including those on the ranch.
